The GEF Secretariat would like to invite you to the GEF Consultations with Civil Society on Friday February 2nd, 7:00am – 9:00 am EST (Washington DC time) via Zoom.
The GEF partnership recognizes the importance cities play in achieving global environment benefits and sustainability goals.
This event will showcase the valuable role of civil society organizations (CSOs) in building sustainable, resilient and inclusive cities, generating dialogue and reflection on thematically, and geographically diverse and innovative experiences from GEF programs and projects. The consultation will explore a range of practices and lessons learned from engagement of CSOs in contributing to sustainable urban transformation.
Representatives from CSOs engaged in GEF programs, strategic partner institutions and other stakeholders will share their firsthand experience and perspectives on designing and implementing sustainability solutions for the people and environment around the cityscape. The event will create a space for discussing opportunities to improve the engagement of CSOs in GEF’s urban sustainability investments.
