67th GEF Council Meeting

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) Council Meeting is a significant event where key stakeholders, including representatives from the GEF CSO Network, come together to discuss various environmental issues, projects, and policies. The GEF CSO Network plays an essential role in these meetings by representing the voices of civil society, advocating for environmental sustainability, and ensuring that the needs and perspectives of grassroots organizations are considered in GEF’s decision-making processes.

The GEF CSO Network was represented at the 67th GEF Council and associated meetings, namely, the 36th LDCF/SCCF Council Meeting and 2nd Global Biodiversity Framework Fund Council Meeting. Seven (7) CSO representatives comprising of GCN Chair, Vice Chair, Secretariat and 4 RFPs observed the council sessions and sixteen (16) formal network position papers/statements were presented to the council.
